Most people simply want the opportunity to be self-sufficient and not rely on the charity of others. A small loan to set up a business has changed the horizon for numerous beneficiaries of HOPE's micro-finance project.

We provide interest free loans to people able and willing to make a living. Our funds have been used to help people buy things such river taxis, rickshaws, donkeys, pull-along carts, sewing machines, hair dressing equipment and food stalls.

We believe that this is one of the best ways forward. By providing opportunities for small enterprise, this encourages economic productivity. We are willing to invest in those who are willing to invest in themselves. We envisage that this will play a sustainable part in achieving our aims.
